I decided this morning that I need to focus more on gratitude and being content with all that God has given me – easy or difficult, what I thought was coming and what I didn’t expect, what I dream of and what I dread, what energizes me and what drains me. It’s all allowed into my life through His good, loving hands and so I must be thankful and content. I’m going to thank Him in a different way each day for a week here on my blog. If you have any ideas send them to me! Feel free to join me in this week-long experiment.
Today I’ll make a list from A-Z.
God, I’m thankful for…
B: Baby smiles – like my friend Stephanie’s cute little boy Matthew’s
C: Cars – would take me a lot longer to get to work each day without one!
D: Dogs – I love Sunny – a faithful, loving member of our family for 13 years
E: Energy – I take it for granted a lot
F: Funny friends – this is a big thanks
G: Green – seeing more of it in spring
I: Ice cream!
J: Jodi, my sister
K: The K’s in my family, Kimmi, Kaitlin & Kristine and the big “K” – my hubby
L: Love – warm, fuzzy love and tough, hard love
M: Music! Need I say more?
N: New mercy every morning
O: Open doors
R: Rocky, the wonder cat
U: Underwear, it’s a good idea
W: Word, with a capital “W” (God’s Word)

Y: You, Father God
Z: Zippy happy days, when they come
…just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7 NLT
